SKINPEELSHOP.COM INSTANT WHITENING LOTION

SKINPEELSHOP.COM :
INSTANT WHITENING LOTION

Last December 20, 2013, our office celebrated the Christmas Party. Of course, there should be an exchange gift to add some spice. Then the gift that I received from my office mate is a whitening lotion labeled as Skinpeelshop.com Instant Whitening Lotion. First time I heard about the product. Then see told me that she's been using this lotion for quite some time. And it gave me the idea why is her skin like that.

My office mate who gave this gift to me is known to be the most beautiful woman in the office. Every guys look after her, even girls. So I think I am so lucky to receive a beauty gift from her.  After the party, I am still overjoyed about the gift that I received. I want to use it immediately.

On the first day:
I am not showing any changes yet.

On the third day:
I can't see any changes but one of my office mate told me that I look blooming. I was shocked about it because I can't see it myself.

On the sixth day:
My family members are asking me if I am injecting any whitening product because I look whiter and fresher. And even my office mates are asking me what happened. But I don't want to tell them first about it.

Last New Year, January 1, 2014.
My family had a reunion with my relatives from the province and abroad. They were all talking about my skin. My aunt keeps asking me my beauty secrets as well as my cousins. They said I look fresher, younger and whiter than the last time they saw me. And it is a big YES for me.

Thank you to my office mate who gave this to me. And thank you Skinpeelshop.com Instant Whitening Lotion for doing this to me.

If you have questions about the product or you want to purchase this, kindly

Party Season Beauty Essentials

Party Season Beauty Essentials

Since the party season is well and truly in full swing (almost coming to an end) I had a quick look around my beauty collection to find my favourite items that keep me going and hopefully looking okay.

Extras: Watch- Marc by Marc Jacobs, Perfume- Estee Lauder Modern Muse, Necklace- Lola & Grace

My makeup doesn't change too much for a party although I always use a primer to keep my makeup looking its best all night long. My favourite at the moment is the Benefit Porefessional as I find it really helps the longevity of my makeup. I also am permanently attached to my Origins Plantscriptions Concealer and it only leaves my bag when I use it. Christmas and New Year is also a great excuse for a bright bold lip and dramatic lashes. Keep it traditional with a classic red or have fun and go for a bright pink or purple.

For nails I always look for a colour that will be festive but still versatile and that will last. I've been loving the Nails Inc Gel Effect Polishes which apply easily, dry quickly, remain shiny and are long lasting. St James is the perfect festive red and Kensington High Street is the ultimate winter shade.

For hair I say the bigger the better, I rely on my Cloud 9 The O heated rollers (also love the Enrapture ones) and a whole load of Bumble and Bumble Dryspun Finish or Pret-a-powder if my hair also needs a little freshening up.

Since my legs/arms don't come out very much during the winter they always need special attention when they do. I've ben using the He-shi Express Liquid Tan teamed with the He-shi Luminous Shimmerperfectly tanned, glowy pins.

After a night out I always reach for the Radical Hydrating Cleanser, it removes all my makeup and feel super luxurious which is exactly what I want just before going to bed after a long night. I often get very dehydrated skin due to all the stress, bad diet choices and alcohol over this time of the year so have been addicted to the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Oil which is a must for dehydrated skin.

What are your party season beauty must haves?

FAST Shampoo & Conditioner: For Longer, Stronger Hair

FAST Shampoo & Conditioner: For Longer, Stronger Hair

My quest for long, healthy looking locks took a turn for the worse when I had my hair extensions removed about four weeks ago. For nearly four months I'd been flicking my hair as if I was in a L'Oreal advert, but I soon came tumbling back down to reality once I realised my own hair simply wasn't going to be the same. For anyone that has had hair extensions, you'll know the emotional turmoil you suffer when faced with your natural hair after such a long time in denial - there was really only one thing for it, and that was Mission Longer Hair. First stop, FAST shampoo and conditioner...

FAST is a special blend of natural herbs and essential amino acids, which aims to aid hair growth and increase its rate by up to 99%. The shampoo and conditioner formulas contain 'the best ingredients to accelerate hair growth', so after a month you should see a significant change in your hair length and condition. In clinical trials conducted by the brand, 50% of the subjects benefited from an increased rate of hair growth after 42 days; 100% of the test subjects had an increased rate of hair growth after 84 days. Those are quite some stats, so I put it to the test to see if it lived up to expectations.

There's no fuss and frills with FAST - the shampoo and conditioner comes in the most simple of bottles, with no sophisticated packaging or design. Each bottle contains 300ml of product which is more than enough to keep you going for a month, which is how long you really need to put the products to the test. The fragrance is almost medicinal, but quite awakening, while the formulas contain no sulfates, parabens or DEA - ingredients that can potentially harm the scalp and prevent hair from looking and feeling healthy. The shampoo lathers well, leaving hair feeling squeaky clean without any residue, while the conditioner works to leave hair feeling soft and looking shiny. I've tried a lot of hair products in my time and this stands up to a lot of them, even without the hair growth properties.

So I've enjoyed using it, but does FAST actually aid hair growth? It works by providing the hair follicle and scalp with all the nutrients it needs to be stimulated - my scalp definitely feels healthier and there has been significantly less itching since I started using this. (I've got quite sensitive skin so I'm always getting an itchy scalp!) Over the last four weeks I would say my hair has started to grow and it's progressively getting into a better condition, which I suspect FAST has a lot to do with. With hair growth it's extremely hard to pinpoint the result of a product over a period of time, without enlisting a friend with a tape measure to pop round every week, so I can't be certain this is helping me. However, it's a great product and my hair looks and feels good, so if I gain a few centimeters as a side effect I'm more than happy. Mission: almost complete.

FAST is available in Boots stores or online priced £24.99 for the duo.  Check out their website here:www.fasthair.co.uk

Weekend Pamper: Fresh Start

Weekend Pamper: Fresh Start

I like to start the new year with two main think; 1. a clean room 2. freshly pampered and since it is the last Sunday of the year today seems like the perfect year to achieve at least the latter.

The Body Shop Body Butter here*// Xen Tan Exfoliator here* // Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair here // Bleach London Mask here// Moroccan Oil Treatment here // Clarins Brightening Toner here // Aromatherapy Associates Minis here

The reason I start this task a few days in advance is to remove all of my fake tan which I have only half heartedly removed throughout the year. This for me always required a few soaks in the bath and a good exfoliating session so takes at least two days. I start with a nice long relaxing bath, in which I exfoliate with a glove and also my favourite scrub plus I also take the time to shave as I find it helps with the tan removal.  After the bath I like to use thick body butters for an intensive moisturise.

For my hair I give it a nice long mask which I actually put in 30 minutes before getting in the bath and wrap it in a towel. Once I've washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo in my roots I follow it with Moroccan oil to leave it extra shiny.

Of course my skin also needs lots of TLC especially in this cold weather. I go for a good cleanse, face mask, exfoliator, face oil and moisturiser to keep my skin healthy and hydrated.

An Effective Bargain Buy: Head & Shoulders 'Thick & Strong'

An Effective Bargain Buy: Head & Shoulders 'Thick & Strong'

Head & Shoulders have been around for over 50 years, but never have they been a particularly glamorous brand. Although they claim to solve your dandruff dilemmas, never have I turned to them when I'm in need of a little love and attention. With their latest addition to the growing collection of targeted hair care, Head & Shoulders really offer something new. 'Thick & Strong' claims to provide stronger hair in only one use, which during the cold winter months and in the midst of the party styling season is something I can definitely get on board with. For the last few months my hair has been getting progressively tattier (I'm talking dry, frizzy, coarse and unmanageable,) but in only a few washes Head & Shoulders 'Thick & Strong' has really helped to tame my mane and inject a bit of life back into the roots. With the added bonus of their first ever dip into the styling arena (with the new Extra Thickening Treatment,) this is a budget range to be reckoned with.

Although the shampoo is pleasant to use, it doesn't leave my hair feeling particularly smooth or seriously clean. (There's no squeaky feeling, more a tangled mess!) However, it lathers effectively and washes away styling product and dirt build up without a problem. When the 'Thick & Strong' conditioner is applied the real magic starts to happen though, as it leaves my hair feeling smooth and healthy with a subtle hint of shine. Unlike a lot of conditioners that just add silicone to your hair in order to create a temporary finish, this feels like it's really doing something to create a bit more strength on the surface. It's easier to style and my hair has a definite 'swoosh' to it!

When the Extra Thickening Treatment is applied though, my hair benefits from serious volume. Its targeted nozzle enables you to apply the solution directly to the root, so that it can create volume in the most natural way with no 'product' feeling. Around 10-15 sprays are recommended over the entire scalp, which leaves hair instantly lifted and at least double the volume when styled alone. If you massage the solution into the scalp it not only creates temporary volume, but helps to really build a healthy base from which hair can grow over time.

The solution works in three ways: it protects your scalp for beautiful looking hair, enhances your hair by thickening hair fibres immediately after applying the product for a volume boost, as well as strengthening the hair fibres from the root for thicker, stronger looking hair as time goes on. Unlike a lot of 'root boosters' which leave the hair feeling sticky and heavy, the Extra Thickening Treatment leaves practically no feeling on the hair at all and can be re-invigorated throughout the day with just a little finger wiggle at the surface.

I have to admit that I was extremely skeptical about this range initially, but the proof is in the pudding. I've swapped my more expensive shampoos and conditioners for this over the last few weeks and haven't been tempted to swap back once; the treatment has been a regular feature within my hair routine and I can rely on it to provide me a subtle hit of volume when I need it most. What's even better is that the range is so light that it can be used daily, the treatment even between washes, and my hair still has the swish I crave so much. I'm definitely stocking up on more of this for the winter months!

The shampoo and conditioner are available for £4.99 each in Boots stores nationwide, while the Extra Thickening Treatment is priced £9.99.

The science of hair care:

The science of hair care:

A little while ago I opened up the LBQ hair clinic (I'm not a specialist, so don't think I'm actually qualified for anything!) and started to answer questions that I was getting through on a regular basis. I had loads more questions in response to that post, so this is round two... Hopefully it's going to give you the answer to those burning questions.

Can a shampoo really help slow the fading of a colour?
Shampoos, conditioners and styling products that claim to slow or stop the fading of hair colour are (in a nutshell) talking porkie pies. Once you’ve dyed your hair the only thing that will stop the colour from fading is another round of hair dye. Most of these products claim to ‘help enhance colour’ which basically means they have ingredients to increase shine, which inevitably brings out the colour more by catching the light. With the normality of hair dye comes the need for a new market in hair care, so clever marketing peeps have just sat down and said they should come up with a new way of flogging their products. If you are concerned about protecting your hair colour (particularly if you’re blonde) then you should be looking out for products with sun protection in them – this is where it will actually do some good by protecting hair from the damaging sun rays, just as your skin needs SPF.

Should I be using heat protectant every time I use my hair straighteners?
Yes, absolutely. You should be using heat protectant every time you use an electrical appliance – that includes hair dryers, straighteners, curling wands and tongs. Every time you apply heat to your hair you’re doing damage so you need to create a barrier between the heat and your hair shaft. Even if you’re only using appliances once in a blue moon then you need to get the spray out. We’re all guilty of forgetting or not wanting to use yet another product, but it’s really important. A lot of products now contain heat protection within them, so if you do forget it’s not the end of the world, but I would really recommend investing in a spray you use on a daily basis. This is one area where you shouldn’t scrimp too – I’d recommend Paul Mitchell Heat Seal or Seal and Shine as products that protect without creating a heavy feel on hair.

What's a normal amount of hair to lose a day?
Around 100 hairs per day is absolutely normal. It’s easy to panic when you see your brush full of hairs, but this is totally normal and keeps your head of hair healthy and strong. Every strand of hair (of which there are around 100,000 on your head) has a life cycle – once the life cycle ends the hair naturally falls out to make room for the new one to grow. If you rinse with high water pressure or brush your hair a lot, all it will do is aid the natural malting process rather than making it worse. I malt all over the place and I always have done; there’s nothing to worry about unless your hair doesn’t grow back and you end up with visibly thinning patches. Then it’s time to go to the doctor.

How should I be using hair conditioner?
Hair conditioner should be used every time you wash your hair. The shampoo will remove dirt and grease but that’s about it. Your conditioner will add essential nutrients and ingredients to help hair look and feel in better condition, as well as tackling any problems you may have, i.e. frizzy or unruly hair that’s hard to style. When you apply you should ensure you’re using no more than a 50p-sized amount of product, focusing on the ends of hair and avoiding the roots. If you overload hair, or put conditioner on the root, you’ll only cause it to look and feel weighed down. This is often when problems occur and you feel like you’re not getting on with a product – because it’s not being used properly. You have to remember that hair is dead and the conditioner is attempting to get it back to the condition it was in when it first popped through the top of your head; the new stuff up top doesn’t need the helping hand that the stuff a foot beneath does. (Oh, and if you’ve got short hair just bung the conditioner on… You probably don’t need it as much, but it will do you a little bit of good regardless.)

Hope that answers a few more questions! As always, if you have others then  just shoot them to me in the comments box below.
